Gobblin' at the Lake

This was our first holiday at Grandma and Grandpa's Big Party House. We were so excited to be spending Liam's first Thanksgiving there and celebrate with the Millers. As always, there was never a dull moment. Here are some snippets of the action.

The Great Pumpkins

Mother Nature had some nasty tricks up her sleeve for Halloween this year, but we persevered and found a way to have a rockin' good time all season long.

First, there were fall festivals...

"Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"

Making S'mores
(please note marshmallow currently getting charred because Mommy was too busy trying to get the shot)

The Artist working with a new medium... pumpkins.

Halloweenies

Nothing says Halloween time like a cat face and a hot cocoa

Pickin' punkins with the littlest punkins

Getting a Halloween themed pedicure at Salon Mommy

The carving extravaganza

The annual Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown screening with hot cocoa and popcorn

We found a way to outsmart Mother Nature and even trick-or-treat TWICE!

Take 1: Presenting Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Yoshi!

Take 2: The Mario Bros. Crew posing with their pumpkin masterpieces

Liam was confused. He thought they should be giving out things like snack size bottles o' breastmilk and packets of steamed peas.

Ain't No Party Like a Steiner Cousin Party!

We were THRILLED that Grandma and Grandpa finally moved into what has officially been dubbed "The Big Party House." We were even more thrilled that the Millers and our sixsome were all able to  spend Labor Day weekend there together. It had never happened before that all 6 grandkids were under the same roof at the same time, so this was a new experience.... and never a dull moment, of course.

The Hobenmobile
(You can tell we just started the road trip 'cause everyone's still smiling)

Wee Rylee in the shadow of the Big Party House

 Party in Grandma's Bed!

Rylee wasn't so sure about this whole lake thing, but she was ok as long as she was holding on tight to Daddy

The boys, on the other hand, were instantly in love

 Drying out

We made sure to bring our Kentucky gear along

Liam was happy 'cause there were more people who wanted to hold him

 Afternoon thunderstorm? Let's make GOO!

We ate cantaloupe with headlamps on...

We did the cancan dance with Aunt Ali...

We had a violin concerto courtesy of Aidan...

On the pontoon (cue the music!) with Grandma

Captain Bruce at the wheel and beautiful weather for a boat ride!

Despite how uncomfortable he looked, Liam thought this life jacket was hilarious

After the boat ride, he tackled it

 Upside down giggles

 Tupperware drawer raid!

Cheers!

Another afternoon thunderstorm? No problem! Watercolors did the trick!

Celebrating the Old Man's birthday, red velvet style

 Did someone say bubble guns!!!?????

We even got a French braid tutorial from Aunt Ali

Leave it to the big boys to convince Avery to jump!

 Mini Couch Pic

And, of course, the official Steiner Cousin Couch Pic of 2013
