A Festival of Fiveness

We officially have a 5 year old. There was a whole week of celebration in honor of our big girl, starting with the afternoon of her birthday when Grandma and Mommy took her for a very fancy ladies' tea at Sisters Tea Parlor.

She's not excited at all, is she?

We even got to dress up in fancy hats, scarves, gloves, etc....

And dined in the Paris Pink Dining Room

 Lunch, fancypants style

Miss Birthday Girl got (you guessed it) strawberry tea and loved it.... with lots and lots of sugar in it.

For dinner we went out for mojitos.... er... I mean... Cuban food... and our friends at Havana Rumba surprised Rylee with a special birthday song and flan dessert.

And then there were presents!

Safe to say these Disney princess dolls were a huge hit.

If there were any doubt she loved them, I'm pretty sure making them a makeshift bed next to her temporary sleeping quarters in BB and Aidan's room so she could sleep with them erased all doubt.

And then all 7 of them ate lunch with her the following day too.

She loved this Play Doh kit from Mason and Avery too. (And so does Liam.)

Modeling some fine new bedtime fashions from Auntie Pea (with Liam's help of course)

 Saturday was party day!!

Be our guest!

Her birthday outfit is now complete!

The coveted Anna outfit...as she keeps saying, "Dave did good, Mommy!!"

The grandparents hooked her up with the two big, very exciting gifts and she couldn't wait to get on them:

Belle's cupcake dress got destroyed quickly...

And was enjoyed by many (some of us messier than others)

We capped off the celebration with a clean bill of health (and no shots!) at our 5 year pediatrician appointment. Bring on Kindergarten!!

Easter, Delayed

Easter was clearly so much fun that it took us months to recover. So, here we are, just now doing a blog about it...

Kicking things off with some Easter crafting

We love getting packages from Grandma and Grandpa, but ESPECIALLY when they contain ginormous Easter eggs to decorate

Here are our finished products, the Princess and the Pirate, who quickly became our BFFS

Gettin' eggy with it

Liam, obviously stunned by his egg dying prowess
