Mommy is Behind, Part 1: Partyin' in a Big, White Tutu

In June, Mommy's good friend Katie, who Rylee has always called "Kiki," got married in Cincinnati. Rylee was very excited. She had been talking about this for weeks. She could not wait to see Kiki in her "big, white tutu" and "dance" and "eat cake." So, we got dressed up in tutus of our own and headed up to Cincy to celebrate Katie and Andrew. Rylee tried not to steal the limelight from the bride on her big day, but she was the star of the show, as you might imagine.

I have a feeling we will see them make a walk like this hand-in-hand again someday...

Making sure the flower petals were lined up just right for Kiki's walk down the aisle

Key distraction during the boring-for-2-year-olds part of the night (the ceremony): the fan. Also good because it was 8 trillion degrees and this was an outdoor wedding.

What else do you do when you are dressed in your fanciest attire? You swing!

Waiting for the dinner portion of the evening with notsokidfriendly apps... Mommy packed the freeze dried strawberries from TJ's, have no fear.

 Daddy-daughter dancing

And I'm not so sure about this... I think they rehearsed this routine before we left.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Dancing Queen
Turns out, Mommy lied about there being cake. Instead, they had a cookie buffet and MINI STRAWBERRY MILKSHAKES!! (So much better than cake in this girl's eyes)
Man, partying is exhausting.
*Please note I did not pose her. She put the shades on herself... to sleep. It was not sunny... it was 9pm.*
